The work was done on Sunday, and I was imagining that it was for a most special customer, thereby doing my best work.
Sometimes I imagine I am building for God.
I never just think of the money because stucco stone does not lend itself to generating big dollars for me.
Leonard was happy the homeowner was happy so I am happy, we may be able to finish on Tuesday! We did the stucco and the stonework here, I will take more pics I thought I had some of the stucco progress but I cant find them.

Back in the Cave
The scratch is pretty rough because it was hard to get it to stay in the mesh, maybe i should have tried hi-rib under neath.
The rains started up and the walls just drip.
The pictures are so dark because I finished at night.
I Got to scratch it by myself. Good help is hard to find.
The safety meeting topic is: Dont hurry just because the help can't show up, even when he is a partner. Bad things can happen. With diamond mesh even a small gig bleeds all over the place. But a band aid and some duct tape is good second or third aid.

A Garden Variety Re-Color
This job had all the windows patched, pop-outs installed, and re-colored with cement stucco. We tried to talk them into Acrylic but they didn't want it. The skip trowel texture is retro 80's but evrybody seemed to like it. What's old is new again. The house is right on a busy street corner and I wish we has put out a sign. A lot of people slowed down and looked as they drove by. The House is right there where Roseville and Citrus Heights meet behind Oakmont High School.

SomeThings Olde and something New?
Here is some possible future pain suffering and high anxiety. I know I should be careful what I wish for, but I would love to do this job.
If we get undercut and someone thinks they can do it for less.... Have at it!!!!
Jim and Kathi's house. My first house-redo/side job. I worked on the stone, stucco, and brick.

The 2 brick capped columns were one of my first side job forays. In Los Lagos, Will built the columns. Early 1990's.
Lane Borges' house, a successful architect. Major addition and outdoor kichen, fireplace, columns and garage enlargement. Walls around the pool. This house I worked with Will on the pre-cast, columns window sills and trim arches ballustrades and entry columns. Wow that job was right when I started talking to Tim.
Ron Smith's house, a big time builder. I did a lot on this one as an employee, I always loved this house.
